Do you listen to books?

The Secret Lives of Dresses by Erin McKean

I was a bit disappointed with this book. I really liked the idea of it from reading the blurb but the secret lives of dresses was more of an aside than the central storyline. It felt like not much happened in this book and I would have liked the dresses stories to have been explored more or to have had an explicit link to Mimi. I kept thinking when is it going to get going? This happens to be the first audiobook I have listened too so I don't know if my detachment from the characters and story was due to not actually reading the words and having a tendency to zone out whilst listening.
