Cayo Hueso

I have been MIA as I escaped the grey and rain for a week and headed to Key West.  As you can see from my photos it was 77 degrees and sunny!  I'm so jealous this is what January looks like there.  We stayed in a lovely little place called Villas Key West.  It was full of character and charm and was walking distance from Duvall Street, Mallory Square, Marina and Fort Zachary Taylor state park.
If you have never ventured to the Florida Keys I highly recommend it.  It has a different feel to the rest of Florida.  Key West especially has history and character.  It's also a great venue for live bands.  The only thing I don't like is that it is a cruise destination and the town can be flooded with people (although admittedly they do not stay long).

This is the first time I tried the panorama setting on my iPhone, its quite cool.

I miss the sun and blue skies in the UK in winter.  I think January could become my favourite time of year to holiday.
