Florida Diary Part 3

We cut through Aligator Alley for Naples on the west coast.  This was a really nice hotel.  There was a small 9 hole putting green which was free to use (I won) and the gardens were really pretty with lush greenery and a koi pond #mosquitocity.  They also provided a breakfast buffet outside around the pool area which was really nice.
We went to the nearest beach at Lowdermilk Park which was really popular.  We watched a couple of dolphins glide by and something large and dark under the surface which just skimmed by the beach and swimmers.  We still cant figure out what it could have been.  For dinner we opted for Cheesecake factory and managed to escape the early evening storm.  We didn't realise how hard it had rained though as when we came out the car park was flooded.  Luckily I wasn't designated driver that day so my brother had to wade out and bring it round for us.

We then continued further up the coast to Treasure Island.
We stayed in a motel right on the beach and by John's Pass on the intracoastal.
This is a boardwalk of shops, restaurants and boat charters.  We ate at The Hut which has its own pier and at the ever popular Delozza's pizza - new york style and huge portions.  We had to walk across the nearby bridge to get to and from John's pass but it was a great place to stop and watch the sunset.

From here we made our way back to Kissimmee to the Best Western Premier Saratoga Resort again, ready for a day at Universal Orlando and Island of Adventure.
