Florida Keys June 2015

We spent a lovely couple of weeks in the Florida Keys and even managed to bring a bit of tropical weather back with us......

Fort De Soto State Park beach - 10 minutes are this was taken the biggest thunder cloud arrived and we had to evacuate the beach due to the electrical storm.  We had been there all day so it didn't ruin the day, but you take the storms with the sunshine in Florida.

The above three pictures were of Banyan Resort in Key West.  This was a lovely little oasis in the centre of Key West.  I highly recommend.

Sanibel Harbour Resort and the Island.  Beautiful place to stay and explore.

I had a conversation with the lady next to me on the plane who was visiting Florida for the first time.  She was staying in Orlando and was going to the Parks.  I do not deny that the Theme Parks are fantastic but I encouraged her to try the rest of Florida as there is so much to see.
